Marketing To Your Audience

At the heart of marketing, it is about effective communication. Our communication skills effects our lives from business clients, families, friends, church, neighbors, pretty much in all aspects of life.
People typically are distracted and have a short attention span. The first sentence of anything you write is the most important part of the whole piece. If you don't get the customer to start reading, they're no chance of them reading anything that comes afterwards! Do not clutter with a lot of text and advertisement, it will loose their attention instead of grab and keep their attention. Don't overload your potential customer with extra information and data.
Trust is an important factor in marketing. People typically won't do much of anything if we don't trust someone. You need to build that trust through your advertising, through your communication and through your support. People typically want to be treated as unique individuals, so make the customer feel like they're part of a very special, small group. Remember to show them how you can solve a problem. Be a problem solver and understand what are the customer's problems and how does my services solve the problems. Make sure you let them know that you are accessible by providing a phone number, physical address, or email contact; remember to place where it is visible, (easy to spot) and not have the customer look so hard to find it.
Listen to your client. Do not talk about yourself and your services and neglect the customer's needs. Typically, when too much of bragging about your company, how your product is so great, and the growth of your company, can be a put off to the customer. They might be insulted because you are not allowing them to talk. Instead of talking too much; try to hear more of what they have to say and then show them that you have a solution and that your solution is the best fit to their problem. Make sure you give them compelling reasons that your business provides the best way to address that problem.
Remember to set up a follow up with the customer. Perhaps they are not ready to make a decision when they last talked to you. Sometimes, that follow up is all it takes to convert a consumer who is thinking "I am not ready now and need time to research or maybe later" into a "I don't want to wait anymore and want to give that product a shot." Also, try different marketing strategies and review your results. Make sure you see a "trend" of what is not working for you, before adjusting to another marketing strategy.
