| Predatory Lending | N/A | This article has some good points. First, the borrower has responsibility from start to finish. We all get the 'hard sale' as customers. A borrower must understand that the broker wants (and needs) to make money, but that it is crucial to get a product that is not only benefical, but responsible. Also, the vendors have a responsibility, especially regarding appraisals. It took 2 or 3 years to realize just how much impact the illegitimate appraisals had on the Toxic Asset fallout of 2008. I hope that enhanced regulation does not stifle progress on the part of proactive investors who are in the market and buying properties. Anyway, great article with lots of good information. Thanks. |
